Roland JV/XP Synths - Overview

These information pages apply to the Roland JV-1010, JV-1080, JV-2080 sound modules, and XP-30, XP-50, XP-80 keyboards.   A lot also applies to earlier and later synths in the same family.

Much of this will be obvious to people who have already got used to these synths, but if you're just starting, or still struggling with the manuals, this information might help.   I've had my JV-1010 for 2 weeks at the time of writing, and I wrote this mainly to reinforce my own understanding, but figured it may be of value to others.
