Strike Team - Wickham Hill- December 12th 2000

Sturt Group responded a Strike Team with nineteen other CFS Crews to a grass and scrub fire at Wickham Hill near Kangarilla at 0400.

The northern section of the fire was burning in inaccessible terrain and was causing some difficulty. However with the assistance of the bombers this flank has now been brought under control.

The fire has burned approximately 50 ha of grass and scrub.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

Appliances responded include Sturt Group Officer, Belair Tanker, Cherry Gardens 14 & 24, Coromandel Valley 24 & A24.
