Friends of Sturt Gorge

What's New ? January Newsletter

The Sturt Gorge is a beautiful natural environment nestled between the suburbs of Bellevue Heights and Flagstaff Hill. The 244 hectare Sturt Gorge Recreation Park protects an area of considerable geological and biological significance.

Unfortunately habitats in the Gorge have been badly degraded by past grazing, logging & mining, as well as the introduction of predators and weeds. The Friends of Sturt Gorge aim to restore, as near as possible, the pre-European habitat .
