The Sturt Gorge Recreation Park...

Facilities:

No facilities are provided, so visitors must be self sufficient. Carry water with you, as water from the Sturt River is not suitable for drinking.

Access:

Admission is free but the Park is closed on total fire ban days for safety reasons. Visitors cannot drive into the park but there is a small carpark on Broadmeadow drive. Walkers can enter via steep trails from various locations:

Gorge Road access trail:

A small trail that leaves Gorge Road just past E&WS pump station and winds down the ridge west of Magpie Creek down to where Magpie Creek meets the Sturt River. The trail splits into two parts with one traversing the top of the ridge, and the other following the small creek on the west side of the ridge.
