| We are gradually settling into our new home
and have finished the unpacking. It is a lovely big house, only 3
years old, with six bedrooms; we use one as an office and one for
a music room.. There are two large living areas. But we still
feel at home here because not a lot has changed;
we’re in the same area, the kids go to the same school and there is a bit of gardening to do! Chris has been having a lot of trouble with her wrists; both need Carpel Tunnel operations and the right wrist, which has osteo-arthritis, needs to have plastic inserts put in!! (her nickname will be ‘The Bionic Woman’... don’t challenge her to an arm wrestle!) She’ll be in plaster for 6 weeks, and it’ll be 3 months before she can use the bionic wrist! John is still working (the cleaning business) on his own virtually every night and on weekends, and is starting to get paid for his part-time work for Children for Christ, kids clubs, working with churches to build up their Sunday Schools. This is what he would like to do full-time eventually! Abbey and Jamie are enjoying a new sport... roller blading... they go to the local rink each Saturday night. It’s a great place to meet friends. Last week was the Halloween Special and everyone got dressed up in their ghoulish outfits. |
