| Life is hectic! Des’s work situation has been very stressful
for many months now and after resigning and the bosses not accepting that
(his resignation) to being appointed manager and Brenton with whom he has
been working for 13 years eventually resigning and then the company changed
hands!! Well!, what can I say - life is full of challenges as we await
our future. We celebrated the “Last Supper” (our general Manager
has a catholic sense of humour!) last weekend with Jock and Anne (the owners)
and it was a sad time. Scott has continued to travel to Victor from Holden
Hill 3 times a week for footy training. We see him occasionally between
footy and mates. He now has to make a “life after footy”. He
had a very good season personally but the Bays A’s were knocked out of
the finals and ended up 3rd. James and Jacob are now looking on to cricket,
they had their footy dinner last week and picked up a South Adelaide achievement
award for Jake and a best utility Man for James in the Juniors. James and
I have been to Fregon - an aboriginal settlement in the Nth West of SA
and to Ayers Rock for 12 days on a school trip: about 45 of us. Des
and Jacob batched again.. Elaine has been spoilt this year (and I
deserve it!) - I also spent 10 days in WA (again!) with my two sisters
to celebrate the surprise 60th birthday for Malc, my brother. We
had a wonderful time but my sister snores worse than Des!, so I was really
glad to come home.
Update: Des has resigned form P&K after 13 years, and is now having a well earned break while we wait on further direction in our life. Amanda is home from Darwin and has resumed work at Lamont House again, they are very pleased to see her return. Life is still hectic as we approach Christmas, wishing everyone a merry one! |
