HAROLD, NITA & NYOLI

Work has been a little busier this year which is very encouraging.  It is a bit like make hay while the sun shines for we don't know how long it will last.
Nyoli is still busy studying but enjoying university very much which helps a lot.  She is now in the middle of exams. She and I have been doing a lot of sewing lately - particularly for Tricia and the baby - and having fun with it.  We are also working on a quilt for Nyoli's bed for extra warmth in winter.  It has an underwater sea theme so it is very fiddly.  We had hoped to have it ready for this winter but I think it will be next winter now.
We are looking forward to Matthew's CD release in a couple of weeks  and  you should be able to buy his CD in all Good Music shops!!! It's amazing we have two sons-in-law both with music CD's in music shops. We are proud of them both. Kirrilie has been on LifeFM  talking about Psychological issues…its interesting to hear your daughter on the radio.!!!
Harold enjoyed an afternoon with Nanna on her  90th birthday and managed to catch up with Aunties Dawn and Phyllis and Uncle Laurence and their children who are his cousins and some of whom he has seen only once or twice in his life. It was an interesting afternoon. We look forward to October Long weekend and Christmas holidays in our little caravan.
We you are all well and look forward to catching up with you again.

"In the last Decade..."

Don't we age in 10 yearsIt is amazing to look back at photos and realise the differenceIt is rather sobering! Ten years ago we were very excitedly planning our overseas trip to HongKong and Singapore for 10 days over ChristmasUlrike from Germany was living with us and in December of that year Marika from Finland joined us for a monthKirrilie was slogging away in year 11, Jenelle was in year 8 and Nyoli in year3I remember December as a frantic month having a full house, mum in Flinders having her cancer op and my dad there as well with blood clots in his legLooking after 7 people, planning to go away, getting ready for Christmas, hospital visiting as well as running the office was very exhausting.
Our family has changed dramatically in that time with now Nyoli home with us but our philosophies have not changed at all. "Put God first and everything else will fall into place" has stood the test of time for us all.
The Babble has been a well loved item of mail for the last 10 yearsThere is always a rush to get it firstTankyou Glenda and Bob for all your efforts and inspiration to get it all startedWe still have every edition and it is amazing to look back and see how we have all changed over the last 10 years. The first edition talked about Ros and Trevor's engagement for instance! Now they have three children! Thankyou now Jill and Graham for all your efforts with the Babble. It is a lot of work but it is very much appreciated.
