MUM and DAD

Congratulations to our great family, 10 years of contributing to The Babble. Thank you all for keeping our lovely magazine going.  A lady who came to visit us said, on reading the Babble, "This is pure gold, it's togetherness, I wish my family would do something like this."  It made me realise this is too good to lose. I am especially pleased that our grand children are sending in their interesting information!  Keep it going grandkids, you are the future of The Babble. There have been some lovely stories over the years, we have laughed over many funny ones, and felt sad over some, but they have all gone to make a great feeling of closeness to each and every one.  New marriages and new babies have all made their appearances in The Babble and we welcomed them all.
May our magazine go on for many decades to come!!

"In the last Decade..."

  • Tricia's and Steve's Wedding in 1997 was a highlight, when every member of the family attended in Shepparton!
  • Cousin Pam visited from England in 1999.
  • A sad note, Nanna Tuckwell died. (1901-1994She was an avid reader and contributor to The Babble

Just a Thought, from Mum & Dad

From the Bible:  Deut.6.5-9.
Love the lord your God with all your heart,
with all your soul and with all your strength.
Never forget these commands that I am giving you today.
Teach them to your children.
Repeat them when you are at home
and when you are away,
when you are resting
and when you are working.
Tie them on your arms and wear them on your foreheads as a reminder.
Write them on the doorposts of your houses and your gates.
