NOW OPEN

The Chateau de St Germain-du-Plain is a small Empire style chateau built in 1830 by a family of wine merchants. It has been completely renovated, with all modern facilities and is set in a beautiful park in the centre of the town of St Germain-du-Plain, within easy reach of the vineyards of Burgundy and many other attractions. From St Germain-du-Plain there is easy access not only to Burgundy's wine capital but also to the Jura mountains, the River Saone, the canals of Burgundy, historic centres such as Tornus and major cities such as Dijon and Lyon. It is 3 hours by autoroute from Paris and 2 hours from Geneva. The TGV rapid train goes daily to Chalon-sur-Saone, just 15 km away.

The Chateau de Saint Germain du Plain was closed for renovation during 2007 and 2008. With upgraded facilities, we have now re-opened as a 'Chateau d'Accueil' (Welcome Chateau).
