Chateau de St Germain du Plain
Chambre-de-hote, the traditional French form of bed and breakfast

Closed for Renovations Re-opening in 2008

The Chateau de Saint Germain du Plain will be closed for further renovation from September to December 2007. With upgraded facilities, we will re-open as a 'Chateau d'Accueil' (Welcome Chateau) in early 2008.

The Chateau de St Germain-du-Plain offers Chambre-de-hote, the traditional French form of bed and breakfast, in a small Empire style chateau built in 1830 by a family of wine merchants. It has been completely renovated, with all modern facilities and is set in a beautiful park in the centre of the town of St Germain-du-Plain, within easy reach of the vineyards of Burgundy and many other attractions. From St Germain-du-Plain there is easy access not only to Burgundy's wine capital but also to the Jura mountains, the River Saone, the canals of Burgundy, historic centres such as Tornus and major cities such as Dijon and Lyon. It is 3 hours by autoroute from Paris and 2 hours from Geneva. The TGV rapid train goes daily to Chalon-sur-Saone, just 15 km away.
