Dear Prospective Member

In answer to your inquiry concerning membership of the AFS. What the society is about, and the benefits you will enjoy by becoming a member, are as follows:

OBJECTS: The Objects of the Society are:

To bring together people interested in the cultivation and propagation of fuchsias. To collect, disseminate and distribute reliable information to members to enable the successful growing of these plants. To arrange competitions and displays of fuchsias for members.

MEETlNGS. The Society meets on the second Monday of each month, (January excluded) in the Payneham Masonic Hall, 393 Payneham Road, Marden, at 8pm.

ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTlONS. $14.00 per Single or Double membership (two persons living at the one address).

Membership runs from 1st. March to 28th February per annum, paid in advance. Subscriptions can be paid by post or at a monthly meeting.

PUBLICATIONS. Each membership receives a quarterly Journal, which is published in April, July, October, and January.

ORDER THIS BOOKLET WHEN YOU JOIN: A booklet, Succeeding with Fuchsias in South Australia, is available from the Society for $2.50 posted (It is also available at the monthly meetings.) In addition to culture notes on the growing of fuchsias, the booklet contains a comprehensive listing of fuchsia books which (if in print and available) can be purchased or ordered through good book stores.
