GENERAL NOTICES
From Fr. John Burgess:

N
ext Sunday the 28th September being the 20th Sunday after Pentecost the 8.00am and 9.30am Eucharist's will be celebrated by Fr. Chris St John from Christ Church, Yankalilla.  The reason for this is I'm dedicating an Icon of Our Lady of Walsingham at the Shrine Church at Yankalilla in memory of my wife Sheila.  It was her wish that an Icon should be given in her memory and this should have taken place last February but the Icon writer had not completed his work in time.  I know you will give Fr. Chris a warm welcome.

"W
hen the candles are lit, the lips are zipped".   This little saying was given to me recently and I share it with you to remind us of the value of quietness with God in church for a few minutes as we await the commencement of worship.

MONDAY - FRIDAY
each week (unless notified).  9.00am Morning Prayer and 5.00pm Evening Prayer at St. Augustine's.  I would really appreciate the company of others joining me on any of these days.  Rector Alex.

On Wednesdays each week:
Please remember to pray for our parish's growth in love and mission on this day each week.   If you can, please join me at 9am Morning Prayer and 5pm Evening Prayer one day of the week.

Silent Auction.
Stephen Howard, from St. Christopher's, has kindly donated a lovely painting "A lovely day" by Basil Norris, for a silent auction in our parish, to raise money for missions.   This will be displayed in due course with more details.

The Nine Lessons and Carols
on Wednesday December 10th at 7.30pm will be at the Catholic Church, Victor Harbor this year due to our organ problems.  Rehearsals start Saturday 8th November 10.00am at St. Joan's.
