In silence

In silence was creation wrought,
in darkest night.
In seven days God’s power brought
the world to light.
And on the waters of the deep,
His spirit moved.
And all that heaven can contain,
was made by Him.

He made the seas and rivers form,
the tides to roll.
And therein placed the fish to dwell,
each in its way.
With all the other creatures that
the waters hold,
The whales and playful dolphins that
the seas enfold.

He clothed the earth in verdant green.
The trees grew tall.
By His command the flowers flamed
their petalled fire.
He gave us in abundance all
the earth’s delights.
and framed them in the glory of
the starry night.

And all the forms of life He set
upon the earth,
are atoms of the grand design
that He has made.
Each has it’s ordained function and
must play it’s role,
and all are interlinked to form
the complex whole.

He sent His only Son to us,
to save us from,
the shackled slavery of sin,
that held us bound.
By death and resurrection, He
has set us free.
and gained for us salvation
In Eternity.
