Oh Lord in this,
I pray, to thee, For I'm remiss, And all too free, To sin too well, And I shall fall, And end in hell, Unless, upon the bounteous grace you gladly grant, I call, For sins can have no power, to enslave, or hold in thrall, When in your blessed and holy name, contritely I confess, Forgive me Lord for I have sinned, and sinning I am less, Than I should be, were I but true to your redeeming word, By sinning weakly, I am weak, I beg my prayer be heard, Else I shall fall, And end in hell, In sin to dwell, To be not free, But yet remiss, I pray, to thee, Oh Lord in this, Absolve my Sin. |
