Lord, You gave your life for us,
let us in turn give you,
all the love we have to offer,
every day anew.
That by eager willingness,
we may one day aspire,
Lord to sit in Heavens peace with you.

As the rain on arid ground,
so were the tears you wept,
in your patient sorrow that,
the souls of men still slept.
Yet that precious dew enriched,
the seed that you had sown,
by your goodness and your tenderness.

Lord whose broken form once hung,
in death upon the cross,
be with us as we remember,
You with this bless’d bread.
Token of the body that,
You sacrificed for us,
in the perfect fullness of Your love.

Lord whose blood was shed in pain,
be with us as we drink,
wine in grateful memory of,
the blood You freely gave.
With this sacred cup of life,
we shall remember you,
Jesus Christ, our Saviour and our King.
