From the blank chaos of the void,
in the dark womb Your truth was sown.
To grow eternally, in it’s authority,
Your infinite word of love.
And with acceptance in our hearts,
we shelter in Your loving care.

Mighty defender of the right,
Leader of all the powers of light.
Extend your hand to us, nurture and comfort us,
and shepherd us on our way.
‘Till we can rest at last with you,
in pious rapture at your feet.

Oh blessed Saviour hear our voice,
and let our cry come unto You.
In our humility, we seek your charity,
penitent in our hearts.
Forgive the weakness of our sins,
and fill us with a new resolve.
