Where He walks

Where He walks high hope springs up,
like grass in summer rain.
Tended with His loving care
and watered with His tears.
Whilst His spirit fills us with
the power of His peace.
Bringing welcome solace to
the sorrows of our souls.

For our weak and wounded hearts,
He offers blessed balm.
Rest from all our earthly cares
and freedom from our fears.
In His truth is shelter from
the turbulence of life.
And deliverance from the doubts
that seek to shut us in.

For our sakes He died in pain,
the sacrificial lamb.
Hanging on the cross for us
that we might live in Him.
Suffering in agony
as payment for our sins.
So that we who call on Him
are evermore redeemed.

We will walk where He once trod,
where hope is fresh and green.
Bind our timid hearts with faith
and follow where He leads.
Praise Him as our Saviour, and
in Him confide our trust.
Knowing that He takes us to
eternal life with Him.

Risen Lord, in glory reign,
restore our fractured world.
Keep us in the love that You
by word and deed, revealed.
Tend us as the shepherd who
has found a straying lamb.
Bring us to the fields of faith
and let our hearts be whole.
