     Shona (named after Eilean Shona in Scotland, where I met my first Ridgeback!) was my first show dog, but despite much help and advice, she and I never really mastered the art! She was placed Opposite Puppy in Show at the A.C.T. Specialty Show and was placed 2nd in Puppy bitch at the National in 1996 but together, our hearts were never in it. Our sojourn into Obedience was much the same........

   She has, however, been a true ambassador for the breed and her laid-back, yet regal style has won many  hearts both for herself and the breed in general. She has also been a fantastic mother and grandmother.

       She now loves coming out to Veterans' Parades and I enjoy showing her! She deserves all the applause and accolades she gets!

    I thank Vishala Kennels for entrusting such a great girl to me as the Foundation Bitch for Balnacoin Kennels - her superb temperament lives on through succeeding generations.
