Welcome aboard.
Thanks for your interest in Track Machines Australia: Australias' Premier forum for the topic.
Track Machines Australia is the first Australian group set up to cater for the local market. It is open for all who have an interest in the hobby of section cars, road-rails, track maintenance machinery and other on-track-plant, including track maintenance in general
It is managed by Nic Doncaster, and is independent of any rail operator. Posts from representatives of rail groups are welcome.
There are a few guidelines for the group. I believe in being up front about these issues. Groups such as the QR Interest Group have other great tips for how to manage your post.
Guidelines for TMA:
Everyone has their opinion, and is welcome to share it in this group. Be honest in what you say, be courteous in how you say it. Gossiping and bitching is not particularly welcome nor are Mad psycho loonie raves.
New members posts require approval. This is short term only, other than that - go for it.
Regardless of where you live, your thoughts on the hobby, or current happenings in it, you are welcome to subscribe.
We don't believe in barring people, unless the barring is justified by their postings within this or other groups.
This group promotes safe operation of motor section cars, in line with the existing regulartory framework.
We all have ideas, skills and experience that is unique. We all have something different to contribute.
Files; Please share your information. These can be uploaded into the "files" section. Not sure how to do this? email the group host.
Please use your proper name and email. Use of "free" email accounts is not encouraged - see below.
If you are posting something, please advise if it is your experience. If you have hard evidence, please share it with the group.
The group has a facility to host links, you are welcome to add yours.
The group host reserves the right to refuse entry to the group, or to remove people from the group, who use addresses that are unknown, in particular addresses using "free" email providers. You will be given the opportunity to respond before your address is barred.
Please include a few words about yourself when you submit your join request.
Please introduce yourself to the group in your first post.
I hope you enjoy being part of TrackmachinesAustralia, and the hobby.
