I based the Anna character in Manna on my ancestor, Marianne Kreusler. Details of her life are presented in ‘The Kreuslers and their descendants, 1344-1989’ by Jeane Stuart AOM. A copy of her family history is included in the papers of Guy and Phyllis Boyd [MS 7551 Series 9 Family papers] at the Australian National Library.
