Miss C Burton's critique of Jewel:    "This bitch epitomises moderation, nicely put together, well balanced, moderate rear and front angulation, moves true with an easy gait, arched neck lays well into the shoulder, with pleasing expression, head planes and proportions correct, topline strong with correct muscling along the back and long muscle in the thigh, I would just like to see a bit more of her all over."

Jewel came to me at 1 year of age from Melissa Jubb - Simjhar Kennels. She is my sweet baby girl. She is a very gentle, quiet and devoted dog who loves her creature comforts. I know when it is getting close to my bed time as she comes out to the lounge room and rests her head on my lap for a few minutes, she will then walk out of the room, and then back into the bed room again. Just letting me know "it's bed time, come on, lets go!". She sleeps on the bed with me and doesn't move a muscle until I get up in the morning.

Jewel is very easy to train, she is motivated by pleasing me rather than treats (not that she says no to the treats!). I have trained Jewel up to Level 4 obedience. Jewel was a wonderful mother to her puppies. She had her 2nd litter and ventured back into the ring in 2004 after a couple of years off due to maternal duties. She is a wonderful dam, producing lovley typey puppies. She received her first points towards her Australian Championship title in April 2004 when she won challenge bitch at the Newcastle Championship Specialty and finished off her title in October 2004 with only 6 months of showing. She has now retired from the showring (other than the odd Specialty or Royal) and had her final litter to BIS GR Ch Kysaridge Alia Caesar. From this litter we have kept two bitches to go on with Nova (Shakuru Super Nova) & Ruby (Shakuru Scarlett Jewel).
