1973 LT

Here are some photos of my 1973 TA22. I originally got it about 9 months ago, from my uncle who had it sitting in his driveway for a couple of years. He got the car from a friend who used it as a daily driver. It had been sitting there for a while, so I decided to grab it. I didn't have any big plans for it, hopefully just clean it up and make it a bit more respectable. The standard 2T engine was rebuilt before I got it, so I decided to just keep it as a cruiser rather than put in a 2TG or similar. 9 months down the track, it looks like it does now. I started with buying new panels for it, 2 guards, a door, bonnet and a boot lid. The interior was in good condition, and it was black, so I left it as it was, with the addition of a sports steering wheel. The wheels are 15" Speedys with 195/55/15 on the front, and 205/60/15 on the back. The new paint is 2-pack "Yellow Devil", the new HSV Monaro colour. There is a 2 1/4' exhaust system, with Genie extractors. There are no more plans for it as yet, maybe further down the track I'll look at putting in a 2TG or similar. The only thing I'll be doing in the near future is fitting a CD player in there, and maybe some 6 X 9's. All the work was done by myself, and my mate George!
