1973 LT

"I have attached 2 pics of my Celica that I used to own as I got it and after I restored it. It was a 73 ta22 LT 1600 5 speed, was standard when I got it by before long I had made a few changes. The first thing was a set of wheels (they weren't the last set I put on it either) and then a new paintjob, I used a ford colour called Cyan Blue, it looked great. Then the motor died and I rebuilt it myself, did a little bit of head work, lightened anything I could and bored the block .30 over size, put a mild cam and added twin 40 mm Delhorto's and a 2 1/2 inch system. Lowered the car by 11/2 inches and fitted twelve slotters and a set of Yokohama 352's. It was a lovely car and went like stink. Now I am in the process of doing up a new project Celica, I have 4 bodies (not all good) have 2 good starters though, and always on the lookout for a REAL bargain in the way of parts or entire cars. Last one I bought was for $350 and drove it from Brisbane to my home in Hervey Bay, new set of shocks and it could be on the road, basically no rust. I will keep you updated on any developments and I will send you pics of the starter cars."
