1974 GT

Jake from the USA, is the proud owner of this Celica. It's one of the best Celica's I've seen.

"This is my 1974 toy-Celica, it has had a complete restoration on almost every thing that you can take apart. I have installed an 18rg engine that I have rebuilt. It has had some serious port work done to it and I have bored it out to fit some H.K.S. forged 10:5 --1:0 compression pistons I also had the lower oil journals enlarged to help in cooling and lubrication from the crank up. I am currently having a set of cams re-ground to a 304 degree intake and duration and a 288 degree exhaust duration. They are cheaper to re grind an old set than to pay $750 for the ones I was quoted by a Toyota performance company. These cams also have adjustable cam shaft gears, it has a T.R.D. HEADER and a T.R.D. 9 LB FLYWHEEL.

And if there is one thing that I could recommend that will make an 18rg motor move this would be it even better if you can find a 1985 Toyota Supra 5 spd trans to mount it to like I did. Thank you to my local wrecking yards I was also able to locate a very nice 1986 G.T.S. corolla and find a 4:30 hypoid semi-floating rear end with disc brakes these are a much needed improvement over the stock 3:72 rear end with some modification to the housing and control links it is an easy swap "

Hope you enjoy

Well done Jake, keep up the great work.
