Check this Celica out!
Amazing stuff, a TA22 with a twin turbo V8 engine. The first I've seen.
Good luck with it all Jamie, keep up the good work!!

"The picture of the body is without the engine or gearbox installed so the car is sitting high. The rear vent louvers are missing and the window chrome strips front and rear. The motor is when it was on the bench a couple of weeks before it was started & is extremly highly modified internally, it’s expected to have about 350 - 400hp fuel and ignition is via a haltech f9 and ig5 computers.
The motor is actually a 4v-v8 3.4 litres. Total weight complete with turbos is around 130kg, I'm not sure what a 2t weight is but it still must be in the ball park. The only problem is that the turbo’s are so far out the front, but i suppose a battery and water bottle used to sit there anyway.
Brakes are wrx oversize rotors with nissan gtr calipers
The wheels are 17inch with 215X40profile front & 225X40profile rear. The body has been modified to take these size wheels. The front floor footwell has been moved back by about an inch to allow turnng rad and the rear pumped slightly, you cant pick this unless you sit it side by side an original celica
Diff is a limited slip 4.11 ratio with disc rear end out of a toyota leniva?, I'm actually looking for a 3.55 gear set or similar if you know of any please let us know, I believe that they are the same center as a ta22??
Suspension is adjustable koni with about 400lb springs and kamac stabiliser bars
Steering is Rack and pinion out of a corolla.
Gearbox is the steel case celica 5 speed
clutch is out of a supra with ceramic plate paddle center mounted to a custom flywheel
P.S. the original motor was a 3tgeu it's a great little motor you will be very happy with it's performance they will take a bout 14psi boost or though I'm not sure about this on a standard computer as mine ran a haltech. I had mine modified highly towards the end and ended up with the original turbo at 125kw at the rear wheels say about 250hp flywheel. The only real reason I got rid of it was because the car needed a paint job and the whole thing got out of hand over a few beers one night with some mates.
Good luck with it all Jamie!
