1972 LT

She’s a 1972 TA22 that has lived in Canberra all her life (no rust at all due to not being near the salty water of the sea). The whole car was recently completely restored. She has a brand new reconditioned 2T engine with a brand new block all done by Toyota so I am very hesitant in getting rid of it in favour of a 2TG, though it is on the agenda for a further date. I’ve whacked a 2 ¼" sports exhaust onto her with a set of pacemaker extractors which gives out an extremely loud sound when outside the car but surprisingly quiet inside. To get a little more punch out of the 2T I'm getting a 45mm DCOE side-draft Weber carbie attached to it.

The gear box is standard T50, the diff is standard, the brakes are standard, and the wheels are a set of ROH Trident Kidney shape wheels. It rides on a set of lowered King springs but standard shocks which makes for a very bumpy ride, looking at getting a set of adjustable Koni shocks for her. Has a 2 pac Canary yellow paint job with a layer of gold pearl over the top, plus 2 pacs of clear.

The interior is perfect. Re-skinned dash, new carpet, Toyota seat covers, perfect condition dash in mph, new parcel shelf. Retrimmed door and Qtr cards in a yellow imitation leather.

At the moment her stereo consists of the original AM tuner in the dash connected to the original 5x7 in the dash. I have installed a se of JL 6x9 speakers in the parcel shelf but I need to find a place (maybe the glove box) for a CD player to be installed without wrecking anything on the dash. Also looking at buying an amp for the speakers plus a set of 6" JL splits to install into the door. Not sure about getting a sub as it would interfere with some of the levels that the 6x9’s cover.
Will be looking into purchasing an alarm to keep her safe and sound.
She’s a beauty ain't she :o)
